The exciting, action-packed National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he or she must KNOW, and what he or she must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership. NYLT is foremost a training program. While participants will use their scout craft and camping skills, the emphasis is on leadership and management training.
Pre-Requisites: To take National Youth Leadership Training, the camper must be 14 years old or 13 years old and completed 8th grade by the beginning of the course.
