Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is an overnight hands-on training for Boy Scout and Venturing leaders. It covers a variety of outdoor camping skills, including cooking, knots and lashings, map and compass, woods tools, and more. Learn new skills, reinforce old ones, and build confidence to teach these skills to Scouts. For Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, this course is part of the requirements to earn the “Trained” patch. It is also part of the requirements for adult leaders of a Venturing Crew that runs an outdoor program.
We will have you on your way home after the closing campfire on Saturday night, approximately 9:30 PM, so you can spend Sunday with your family.
