In an abundance of caution, the Mayflower Council has cancelled all afternoon and evening events on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 due to weather conditions. This includes the Webelos Activity Meet and the Leader Training Course. While we share our participants’ obvious disappointment, the safety of our participants and staff is most important. Weather tracking has indicated there is an elevated risk for significant snowfall in the area of the events. In addition, driving conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly. Both of these factors have influenced this difficult decision.
All registered participants may choose from one of the following options:
Attend the Webelos Activity Meet on Sunday, January 8 at Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington Street, Newton, Massachusetts.
Receive a full refund of your participation fees. Those that do not attend tomorrow’s event will have their registration fees refunded.
Our camp properties Nobscot Scout Reservation and Camp Resolute will remain open throughout the weekend for groups camping.
Click here for prerequisites. All activities have at least one.
At this first advancement opportunity of 2017 Webelos will have the opportunity to work towards 2 activity badges along with peers from around the council. Choose to attend one or both days. Activity badges to choose from are:
- Adventures in Science
- Engineering
- Looking Back, Looking Forward
